SRM University (Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University), formerly SRM Institute of Science and Technology, is a co-educational private university in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 1985 as SRM Engineering College inKattankulathur, under University of Madras. It now has four campuses in Tamil Nadu—Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani andTiruchirapalli—and three in the rest of India such as Modinagar near Delhi, Sonepat in Haryana and Gangtok in Sikkim. The institute gained deemed status during the 2003-2004 academic year and was renamed SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It became SRM University in 2006, when it attained the status of a full-fledged university, under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956
Kattankulathur campus (Main Campus), Chennai
Located about 40 km away from the city of Chennai, this massive campus stands on a sprawling 250-acre site overlooking Grand Southern Trunk Road (GST Road), NH-45. The main campus at Kattankulathur consists of three colleges:
College of Engineering and Technology College of Medicine and Health Sciences and College of Science and Humanities and School of Management
Kattankulathur Campus also houses the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Center and the SRM Hotel. The SRM hospital could accommodate 1200 in-patients with 25 specializations in PG education in medical science.

A serene and charming enclave, the S.R.M Dental College is located here. It consists of 5 academic blocks spread over 25 acres, with all the necessary facilities and infrastructure for medical and health science students.

Vadapalani Campus (City Campus), Chennai
Considered the smallest of the SRM University campuses, is located in the center of Chennai city. This campus houses the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of MCA, and the Sivaji Ganesan Film Institute. SIMS(SRM Institutes For Medical Science), a Super Specialty Hospital is also located within the campus.

The campus is spread across 25 acres of land over a green lawn environment at Modinagar on Delhi-Meerut highway houses the faculties of Engineering & Technology, Management and Teacher Education.

The University of SRM, Haryana is located in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Rai near Delhi. It is well served by road and rail links. Note– for admission to Bio related Engineering courses, such as BioInformatics and Biotechnology, It is a must to have a biology subject in the twelfth.
for the B. Arch course- In addition to the SRM’s entrance exam, it is also necessary to have a scorecard of NATA.
It is also necessary to score a minimum of 80 marks in NATA.
For MBA-
Minimum 50% in Graduation and a good score in the entrance exam.
